Why Are Concerts Important?

Posted by: | March 18, 2008 | No Comment |

Today’s family is faced with many decisions, concerning the activities their children participate in.  Soccer, hockey, DI, baseball and family vacations  are just a few of the clubs and activities that children participate in, after school and on the weekends.

It is most certainly up to the parent when tough decisions need to be made, concerning conflicts between these events.  School concerts enter into this process as well.  Your decision might be more informed with the following information.

Concerts are the culmination of weeks of ensemble practice and individual work.  This work is graded as is participation in the concerts.   When a member of the ensemble is absent, it most certainly affects the rest of the group as well as the individual grade.
Please take all of this into consideration when making your decision and as always, please let the school know if your child will not be attending the event.
