The first marking period ends next week.  Students in the 7 & 8 band are responsible for:

“Frankenstein” memorized (Seaside Parade Music)
“Hips Don’t Lie”
Embouchure Drills
Concert Bb and F Scales
Band Basic Drills Measures 21-25
Perform with the band at the Seaside Festival Parade

Ask if they have learned these assigned pieces!

Jazz Concert

The Cape Cod Conservatory Jazz Emsemble will perform September 25th, at the Parish Life Center of St. Pius.  The performance will begin at 7PM.  A donation will be taken at the door and will benefit DYECH.

Marine Band, The “President’s Own”

The world famous, Washington D.C. based, United States Marine Band will perform at Mattacheese Middle School on October 29th.   Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Mrs. Mezzette/Yacht Club Performance

Mr. New’s homeroom and select 8th grade band students will perform for Mrs. Mezzette’s installation as commodore.

All Cape and Islands Music Auditions

On November 14th, Mattacheese will once again we will host the All-Cape and Islands High School Festival auditions.   As part of the host duties, we will need to supply tabulators for the event, from 3 till 9:30 PM.   I will need 8-10 parents to input the scores using computers supplied by the CCMEA.   [...]
